Jacob Russell, who was in his 82d year, died last night about 9 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Laura Butcher in Morgan tp., near Morgan Center, after a long illness. He was the son of Alvin and Harriet Spires Russell.
Surviving relatives are these sons and daughters, Floyd Russell and Mrs. Effie Annas of Wheelersburg, Mrs. Millie Bruce of Superior, Mrs. Carrie Bruce of Ironton, Mrs. Edith Keeton of Creola, William of Oak Hill, Mrs. Forrest Brannon of Evergreen, Harold Russell at Eno and the daughter, Mrs. Butcher; three brothers, Rev. Isaac Russell near Eno, Charles at Morgan Center and William at Middleport; one sister, Mrs. Eliza Swick of Vinton R. F. D. His wife, Mrs. Emma Poindexter Russell, is deceased.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Prospect church, near Evergreen by Rev. John Spires. Interment will be in the church cemetery by J. L. Coleman of Bidwell.
