  [S10407] Find a Grave - US Index, SCHROEPPEL Emma 1862-1908. Mrs. Emma P Schroeppel DeMette Johnson, wife of Prof. Frank W. Johnson, of the Belleville Commercial College, died on Sunday at the family home, High and Main streets, after an illness of one year. Mrs. Johnson was a Miss Schroeppel and was born in Collinsville, Ill., August 31, 1862. Her first husband was Oliver J. DeMette, a newspaper man, who died in 1901. On February 26, 1907, Mrs. DeMette became the wife of Prof. Johnson. She leaves one daughter by her first marriage, Miss Olivia DeMette; also five brothers and one sister in Collinsville and a sister in Iowa.
