Mrs. Nellie Burkhardt who has lived in this vicinity for the past 52 years passed away Thursday at 2:40 p.m. at the home of her son Alderman Joseph Burkhardt at 309 Locust street. She was born July 6, 1874, in St. Louis and had attained the age of 74 years, 10 months and 26 days. Her husband, Joseph Burkhardt preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1931. She is survived by three sons, Joseph and Arthur Burkhardt of this city, Chester of Bunker Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Mulach of Worden and Mrs. Mildred Neutzling of Glen Carbon and five grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the Moose lodge. Friends may call at the Schneider funeral home after 12 o'clock noon Saturday until Monday at 8:30 when services will be held from the funeral home and at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. P.P. McGuinness officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery.
