Mabel Helen Cook Sleeper Norris, 87, of 280 Main St., died Wednesday afternoon at her home. She was born in Nova Scotia on Jan. 24, 1901, and educated in Auburn schools. She was married to Ronald E. Norris, who died in Lewiston of March 10, 1972. For many years she was employed in the laundry room at Central Maine Medical Center. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Cody of Lewiston and Janice Sleeper of Auburn; five sons, Raymond Sleeper of Brighton, Mass., Harold sleeper of Lewiston, Kenneth Sleeper and Elmer Sleeper Jr., both of auburn, and Robert Sleeper of Boston; two sisters, Beatrice of Los Angeles, Calif., and Elizabeth of Freeport; a brother, Joseph of Pittsfield; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. -Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery) https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/51080980/mabel-helen-norris
