Maebelle Florella Bassett Norris Hiscock Farrell, 85, of 48 Allen St died April 4 1986 at a Brewer health care center. She was born in Livermore, Oct 30 1900, the daughter of Edgar and Lillian Bassett. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School and Bates College. She had taught at the college level and had been employed in the insurance industry. She was a member of the Hammond Street Congregational Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving besides her husband, John W Farrell of Bangor, are one son, Ronald Norris of Portland; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday at Brookings-Smith, Bangor, with Ms Elaine Shaw of the Hammond Street Congregational Church officiating.
