Luther Clifton Beasley Jr., age 86, of Cabot died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, in Jacksonville.
He was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Rev. L.C. Beasley and Ruth Simpson Beasley.
He served four years with the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII in the Pacific after OTC and training out of Galveston, Texas. He was an active member of Barbershop Quartet Singing Group in Pensacola, Fla., and maintained his membership in the Masonic Lodge in Pensacola before moving to Cabot in 2005.
He and his family resided in Maracaibo, Venezuela, for a number of years and lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for three years.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. L.C. Beasley and Ruth Simpson Beasley; his sisters, Ruth Beasley Mulkey and Anne McKenzie.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Estella Maxine Mounce Beasley of Austin, Ark.; daughter, Mary Catherine Beasley of Pensacola, Fla.; son, James Hugh Beasley, address unknown; niece, Frances Knox of Katy, Texas; and nephew, John R. Barnett of Rockwall, Texas.
Plans are in the process for dispersment of his ashes in the Gulf of Mexico. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory can be to the Diabetic Association or to your local hospice.

Estella Maxine Beasley, 81, of Cabot, Arkansas died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in Little Rock. She was born January 30, 1929 in Seminole, Oklahoma to the late Ted Jink Mounce and Dall L. Keel. She was an avid bridge and golf player, a loving and devoted mother, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She and her family resided in Maracaibo, Venezuela for a number of years; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for three years and Pensacola, Florida for twenty years. In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband Luther "Cliff" Beasley.
Maxine is survived by her brother Mac Mounce of Roseburg, Oregon; daughter, Mary Catherine Beasley of Pensacola, Florida; son, James Hugh Beasley of Little Rock, Arkansas; niece, Frances Knox of Katy, Texas and nephew, John R. Barnett of Rockwall, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
