-- Bernice Imogene "Jean" Stevens, age 81, formerly of Cave Junction, OR, entered into rest Monday December 17, 2018, at her residence in St Louis, MO. She was born April 8, 1937 in Bismarck, MO daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Bertha I. (Mayes) Twomey. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Donald Lloyd Stevens; four brothers: John Twomey, Henry Twomey, Timothy Twomey, and Jackson Twomey; four sisters; Kathryn Halbert, Clara Mae Smith, Caroline Ingrassia, and Betty Golden; one daughter-in-law Sandra Stevens.
Jean is survived by her children: Don L. Stevens of Grants Pass, OR, Angelia (Michael) Miller of St Louis, MO, Glenn David Stevens of Grants Pass, OR, Raymond Edward Stevens, of Grants Pass, OR and Tyler Joseph (Danielle) Stevens, of Ft. Bragg, NC; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother: Leo Twomey; one sister: Louise Wright. She was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lawrence A. Twomey of Route One, Bismarck was born May 18, 1892 in Caledonia and died July 13 at Bonne Terre Hospital at the age of 81. Surviving are: his widow Bertha Twomey of Route One, Bismarck; five sons John Twomey of Colorado, Henry Twomey of Festus, Tim Twomey of Bismarck, Ray Twomey of Festus and Leo Twomey of Arnold; six daughters, Katherine Halbert of Sullivan, Clara Mae Smith of Nashville, Tenn., Louise Wright of Bismarck, Carolyn Ingrassia of St Louis, Imogene Stevens of St Louis, Betty Becker of Bismarck; two brothers, John Twomey of Farmington and Theodore Twomey of Frankclay; four sisters Fairy Walch of Flat-River, Ruth McNair of Calif., Esther Gurvette of Festus, Ixretta Culli of St Louis; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday 2 p.m. at the Bismarck First Baptist Church with the Rev. William Hodge officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Bismarck. The body will be in state after 7 p.m. Saturday at the Edna Lee Shipmand and Son Chapel in Bismarck.

Bertha Irene Twomey, 75, of Bismarck died Nov. 8 at Festus Manor Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 6, 1909 in Elvins to the late Jack' and Savannah Mae Olive Mayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Twomey; eight grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Twomey was a member of the United Methodost Church in Bismarck. She is survived by five sons: Henry Twomey, of Bonne Terre, Tim Twomey, of Green River, Wyo., Ray Twomey, of Berkley, Leo Twomey, of Arnold and John.Sherman Twomey, of Denver, Colo.; six daughters: Kathryn (Mrs. Fred) Halbert, Sullivan, Clara Mae (Mrs. Ed) Smith, of Nashville, Tenn., Louis Wright, of Imperial, Carol Ingrassia of Elsberry, Imogene (Mrs. Don) Stevens, of Temple City, Calif., and Betty (Mrs. George) Golden, of St Louis; one brother, Harlon Mayes, of Collinsville, Ill.; three sisters: Julia (Mrs. Harley G.) Barton of Collinsville, Ruby (Mrs. Eldon) Thomason, of Dupo, Ilia, and Bessie Barton, of Pinkneyville, Ill.
