Timothy A. Twomey, 71, of Green River, Wyo., passed away Sept. 20, 2003, at his residence. A resident of Green River, Wyo., for the past 28 years and former resident of Bismarck, he was born on. May 20, 1932, in Bismarck, son of the late Lawrence and Bertha Irene Mayes Twomey. He married the former Margaret Key in St Louis on Sept. 8, 1951. Mr. Twomey attended schools in Bismarck and he graduated with the class of 1951.-. Mr Twomey was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife Margaret Twomey of Green River, Wyo.; two sons Bill Twomey and wife Bronwen of Schereville. Ind., and Timothy D. Twomey of Green River, Wyo.; two daughters, Debbie Oehler and husband Steve and Patti Kiernan and husband Allen, all of Green River, Wyo.; two brothers. Ray Twomey of Berkeley and Leo Twomey of Ellington: three sisters, Louis Wright of Farmington. Jean Stevens of Cave Junction, Ore., and Betty Golden of Lee Summit: seven grandchildren, Doug Twomey, Sam Oehler. Michael Kieman, Ashley Kieman,. Mrs. Oehler was born October 1, 1955 in St Louis, Missouri; the daughter of Timothy Twomey and Margaret Key.
She attended schools in Bismarck, Missouri and was a 1974 graduate of Bismarck High School.
Mrs. Oehler married Steven Oehler September 13, 1975 in Bismarck, Missouri.
She enjoyed spending time with family; crafts and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Oehler of Green River, Wyoming; mother, Margaret Twomey of Green River, Wyoming; one son, Samuel Oehler of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Bill Twomey and wife Bron of Indiana; Timothy Twomey of Green River, Wyoming; one sister, Patti Kiernan of Green River, Wyoming; uncle; two nephews; four nieces and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Timothy Twomey, one son, Timothy Oehler.
Cremation will take place; a Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.

Surviving are: his widow Bertha Twomey of Route One, Bismarck; five sons John Twomey of Colorado, Henry Twomey of Festus, Tim Twomey of Bismarck, Ray Twomey of Festus and Leo Twomey of Arnold; six daughters, Katherine Halbert of Sullivan, Clara Mae Smith of Nashville, Tenn., Louise Wright of Bismarck, Carolyn Ingrassia of St Louis, Imogene Stevens of St Louis, Betty Becker of Bismarck; two brothers, John Twomey of Farmington and Theodore Twomey of Frankclay; four sisters Fairy Walch of Flat-River, Ruth McNair of Calif., Esther Gurvette of Festus, Ixretta Culli of St Louis; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday 2 p.m. at the Bismarck First Baptist Church with the Rev. William Hodge officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Bismarck. The body will be in state after 7 p.m. Saturday at the Edna Lee Shipmand and Son Chapel in Bismarck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Twomey; eight grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Twomey was a member of the United Methodost Church in Bismarck. She is survived by five sons: Henry Twomey, of Bonne Terre, Tim Twomey, of Green River, Wyo., Ray Twomey, of Berkley, Leo Twomey, of Arnold and John.Sherman Twomey, of Denver, Colo.; six daughters: Kathryn (Mrs. Fred) Halbert, Sullivan, Clara Mae (Mrs. Ed) Smith, of Nashville, Tenn., Louis Wright, of Imperial, Carol Ingrassia of Elsberry, Imogene (Mrs. Don) Stevens, of Temple City, Calif., and Betty (Mrs. George) Golden, of St Louis; one brother, Harlon Mayes, of Collinsville, Ill.; three sisters: Julia (Mrs. Harley G.) Barton of Collinsville, Ruby (Mrs. Eldon) Thomason, of Dupo, Ilia, and Bessie Barton, of Pinkneyville, Ill.
