Bertha Irene Twomey, 75, of Bismarck died Nov. 8 at Festus Manor Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 6, 1909 in Elvins to the late Jack' and Savannah Mae Olive Mayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Twomey; eight grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Twomey was a member of the United Methodost Church in Bismarck. She is survived by five sons: Henry Twomey, of Bonne Terre, Tim Twomey, of Green River, Wyo., Ray Twomey, of Berkley, Leo Twomey, of Arnold and John.Sherman Twomey, of Denver, Colo.; six daughters: Kathryn (Mrs. Fred) Halbert, Sullivan, Clara Mae (Mrs. Ed) Smith, of Nashville, Tenn., Louis Wright, of Imperial, Carol Ingrassia of Elsberry, Imogene (Mrs. Don) Stevens, of Temple City, Calif., and Betty (Mrs. George) Golden, of St Louis; one brother, Harlon Mayes, of Collinsville, Ill.; three sisters: Julia (Mrs. Harley G.)
