Ronald Edwin Norris, 73, of 1153 Main St., Lewiston, died Friday night at the Central Maine General Hospital after an illness of four months. Born at Wayne, Mar. 21, 1898, he was educated in the schools of that town and married the former Mabel H. Sleeper in Lewiston Jan. 30, 1960.
Always self-employed as a painter and paperhanger, he moved to Lewiston from Leeds several years ago.
Mr. Norris survived by his wife, of Lewiston; one son, Ronald E. Norris of Portland, two step-daughters, Janice and Shirley both of Auburn; four step-sons, Harold and Kenneth both of Auburn, Robert of Lewiston and Raymond of Boston; and six grandchildren.
In Lewiston, March 10, 19723, Ronald E. Norris, age 73 of Lewiston. Funeral service from the memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son, Monday March 13 at 1 p.m,. Interment at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.

Maebelle Florella Bassett Norris Hiscock Farrell, 85, of 48 Allen St died April 4 1986 at a Brewer health care center. She was born in Livermore, Oct 30 1900, the daughter of Edgar and Lillian Bassett. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School and Bates College. She had taught at the college level and had been employed in the insurance industry. She was a member of the Hammond Street Congregational Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving besides her husband, John W Farrell of Bangor, are one son, Ronald Norris of Portland; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday at Brookings-Smith, Bangor, with Ms Elaine Shaw of the Hammond Street Congregational Church officiating. Interment will be later in the spring in Harts Corner Cemetery East Holden.

Mabel Helen Cook Sleeper Norris, 87, of 280 Main St., died Wednesday afternoon at her home. She was born in Nova Scotia on Jan. 24, 1901, and educated in Auburn schools. She was married to Ronald E. Norris, who died in Lewiston of March 10, 1972. For many years she was employed in the laundry room at Central Maine Medical Center. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Cody of Lewiston and Janice Sleeper of Auburn; five sons, Raymond Sleeper of Brighton, Mass., Harold sleeper of Lewiston, Kenneth Sleeper and Elmer Sleeper Jr., both of auburn, and Robert Sleeper of Boston; two sisters, Beatrice of Los Angeles, Calif., and Elizabeth of Freeport; a brother, Joseph of Pittsfield; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
