Charles B Saulsbery II died of heart failure in Fort Smith on Saturday, June 24. He was born on March 30, 1949 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Charles served his Lord and Savior in several capacities: as a worship minister, a pastor, teacher, mentor and chaplain. The past several years he worked with Peachtree Hospice as Pastoral and Social Services Coordinator. He has touched countless lives, not only in the River Valley, but across the nation. He was preceded in death by his wife Margrette. He is survived by his parents, Charles (Buck) and Fern Saulsbery, his sister, Peggy Swink, his wife, Sarah, two daughters, Charla Calicott and Charitta Palmer, step children Clay Gordin and Ashley Linden, grandchildren Josiah and Rebekah Chronister, Rachel and Benjamin Calicott, Olivia, Matthew and Daniel Gordin as well as several spiritual children. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Community Bible Church on Dallas Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The family will greet visitors 10:00 AM at the church. The service will be live streamed on the Peachtree Facebook Homepage for those who are unable to attend.
