Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Minori and Michiko Morita; his brother Marvin (Estelle) and sister Joyce Moulton (Larry). He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy and two beautiful daughters. Alvin was born in 1939. He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended East High School. He excelled as an athlete in 3 sports: wrestling, football and track. He graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Marshall Space Flight Center for Computer Sciences Corporation. He was lucky enough to meet his wife Kathy and convince her to marry him while he was employed there. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was employed by Sperry/Univac and L3 Communications for 32 years as a Computer Systems Analyst. Upon retiring, he moved to Tucson, Arizona and finally Albertville, AL. He was a wonderful husband and loving father. His hobbies included boating and woodworking, but his passion was golf. He could often be found on local courses—doing what he loved most, golfing. He loved Alabama football and was an avid fan.
