Graveside funeral for Newell D. Yarborough Sr, 82, of Decatur will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Lancaster officiating and Brown Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 and Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Yarborough died Tuesday at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. He was born May 6, 1910, in Montgomery County, Tenn and was employed for years at Igleheart Brothers Inc and Puritan Mills, both in Atlanta. After moving to Decatur, he was employed at the Tennessee Valley Farmers Cooperative, which is now the Alabama Farmers Cooperative. He was a 50 year member of the Clarksville, Tenn Masonic Lodge No. 89 and amember of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was the widower of Katie Durrwachter Yarborough, who died November 19, 1967. He is survived by one son, Newell D.
