William Kerr Regg Sr was born on March 3, 1897 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Charles A Regg (1872–1946) and Jane Elizabeth (Kerr) Regg (1872–1945). {Although his Death Certificate has his age indexed as 67 and his birth year indistinct, the certificate itself clearly has his age as 57. And, the year is 1897 in his entry in the US Social Security Death Index and on both his World War I Draft Registration Card and hiw World War II Draft Registration Card.}
He was married 1st to Allie Mai Hood (1897–1950), and she was the daughter of William Houston Hood (1871–1920) and his 1st wife Mary (Crafton) Hood. He was married 2nd to Evelyn Mae (Brown) (Tomberlain) (Shepherd) (Whitley?) Turner (1910–1963).
A meat cutter in City Marker and living at 1813 15th Avenue North in Nashville, William was 57 years old and married when he had a heart attack on October 13, 1954 and was DOA at Nashville General Hospital.
Survivors included his widow Mrs Evelyn Regg, daughters Mrs Ollice Ray and Miss Nettie Catherine Regg, sons William Kerr "W K" Regg Jr and Carl "Frank" Regg, stepchildren John Paul Whitley, Jo Ann Turner and David Turner, brothers Robert Charles Regg and Albert Regg, all in Nashville, sisters Mrs Albert Arrington of Dickson, Tennessee and Mrs Charles Hood at Dayton, Ohio and five grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on October 15th at Buena Vista Chapel, and burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
