Hesperia, Collinsville, died at 6:06 p.m. Dec. 8, 1978, at the Pleasant Rest Nursing Home, Collinsville. He was retired from Shell Oil Co. and was the owner-operator of Doc. Bait Shop, Collinsville. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of St. John Evangelical United Church of Christ. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Herr Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dr. Donald Sabbert will officiate, with burial in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery.
