Ralph Ernest Gibson of Ironton, Missouri entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2017 at the age of 92. Ralph was born on January 23, 1924 in Bonne Terre, the son of the late Thomas Anderson and Amanda Evelyn (Williams) Gibson. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his sisters, Sadie Sales, Bernice Hargiss and Ethel Doss; and a brother, John Gibson.
Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Army in World War II. He was a member of the Church of God at Doe Run.
Ralph is survived by his sister, Barbara Sherrill of Farmington; many nieces, nephews; and dear friends.
Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Reverend Darlene Williams officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

Mrs. Sadie I. Sales, 90, passed away March 11, 2009, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center, Farmington. Sadie was born January 17, 1919, in St. Francois County and was the daughter of Thomas A. Gibson and Amanda Evelyn 'Williams' Gibson McDowell. Also preceding-in-death were: her first husband, Bert Hall; her second husband, George Sanford Sales (1997); One Sister, Ethel Doss; One Brother, John David "Big Cat" Gibson and Two Grandchildren: Georgia Michelle Sales and Michael Sales. Sadie was a member of the Hurryville FreeWill Baptist Church. Survivors Include: Two Daughters, Sadie'Irene 'Mrs. Jack' Cunningham, of Farmington, and Linda Sales, of Farmington. One Son: Tom (and Sherry) Sales, of Farmington. Two Sisters: Bernice Mrs. Glen' Hargiss, of Leadington and Barbara Sherrills, of Doe Run. One Brother: Ralph Gibson, of Ironton. Also surviving are Four Grandchildren, Eight Great-Grandchildren and 16 Great, Great-Grandchildren. Visitation 5-8 p.m., today at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Visitation resumes Saturday at 6:30 a.m., and funeral Saturday, 10 a.m., March 14, 2009, at Taylor Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Herbert McMillian officiating. Interment follows at Knights-of-Pythias Cemetery, Farmington.
