Mrs. Bessie Bernice Hargiss, 91, passed away September 9, 2013, at St. Joe Manor, Bonne Terre. Bernice was born December 31, 1921, in Herculaneum, and was the daughter of Thomas Gibson and Evelyn Amanda 'Williams' Gibson. Also preceding were: her husband, Glenwood Hargiss, Sr., (2009), a baby son; a brother, John Gibson; two sisters, Sadie Sales; Ethel Doss. Also, two grandsons. Bernice retired from Farmington State Hospital #4 and was a member of Leadington Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors Include : six children, Glen (Elizabeth) Hargiss, Park Hills; Harold ( Mary) Hargiss, Hazelwood; Carolyn (Charles) Ransom, Arnold; Dianna (Stephen) Gunter, Jackson; Bill (Barbara) Hargiss, Farmington; Connie (David) Baskin, Farmington. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and three great, great-grandchildren. Interment follows at K-P Cemetery, Farmington.
