Mrs. L. S. Gaard, residing 3 miles west of this village, died Friday evening at her home after a lengthy illness. She is survived by several sons and daughters. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the local Lutheran church, the Rev. Peterson, Glenwood City, officiating. Burial took place in the church cemetery south of town.
