Stella M. Findley, 84, Jefferson City, died March 10, 1999, at California Care Center, California. She was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Allan, Kan., a daughter of Oscar G. and Sephrona Jones Lovan. She was married Nov. 4, 1932, in Birchtree, to Rudy F. Findley, who died Aug. 3, 1977. She attended school in Willow Springs and was a homemaker. She did custom sewing in her home and also worked at Montgomery Ward & Co. for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Willow Springs, and Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include: four sons, Ben C. Findley, Calvert City, Ky., William O. Findley, Holts Summit, and Rudy R. Findley and Robert L. Findley, both of Jefferson City; one stepdaughter, Frances Knippel, Fallbrook, Calif.; one sister, Esther Hix, Windsor; one brother, Cecil B. Lovan, Grand Terrace, Calif.; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Two daughters, one son and one stepson preceded her in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary.
