James R Farrell Sr 82 died at an Ellsworth hospital July 12 1992 after a long illness.
He was born April 15 1910 in Ellsworth, the son of Rulof and Mildred Farrell. He had lived in Bar Harbor for many years and worked for the Bangor Hydro Electric Co, retiring in 1972. He returned to Ellsworth upon his retirement. He was a 50-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Corrine.
James is survived by his wife Cassie (Bickford) Farrell; five sons James Jr of Rice VA, John of Plainsfield CT, David of Lamoine, Donald of Lubec, and Embed of Hancock; three daughters, Eleanor Littlefield of Kezar Fall,s Juanita Keene of Bar Harbor, and Alice Cousins of Portland; two sisters, Rachel Nichols and Beatrice Stymist, both of Ellsworth; one brother Lawrence of Blue Hill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 1 pm Wednesday July 15 1992 at Hillside Cemetery, Hulls Cove, with the Rev Stephen Hall officiating. Arrangements by McFarland Funeral Home 48 Eden St Bar Harbor.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist church of Ellsworth and the Ellsworth Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Mrs Farrell is survived by her husband. Rulof; five daughters, Mrs Leah Driscoll of Cherryfleld. Mrs Juanita Torre of Larchmont, NY, Mrs Marjorie Ingalls of East Holden, Mrs Lena Symiest of Bangor, Mrs Rachel Nichols of Ellsworth: six sons, John W, Edward S and Elbert S of Bangor, James K of Bar Harbor, Lawrence A of Blue Hill and Paul S of McKinley; one sister, Mrs Lettie Grant of Ellsworth: one brother, Edward Segar of Bucksport; 23 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Jordan funeral home in Ellsworth with the Rev. Albert Whitehead officiating. Bearers will be John Nichols, Earl Ingalls, John Driscoll, Peter Stymiest. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.

Rulof C Farrell 85 died Thursday at his home here after a long illness. He was born at Ellsworth September 5 1877, the son of Capt John W and Charlotte (Robbins) Farrell.
He had been a painter and paper by trade for several years.
Survivors are six sons, John W and Elbert S Farrell both of Bangor, James R Farrell of Bar Harbor, Edward S Farrell of Brewer, Lawrence A Farrell of Blue Hill, and Paul S Farrell of McKinley; five daughters, Mrs Leah Driscoll of Cherryfield, Mrs Juanita Torre of Larchmont NY, Mrs Marjorie A Ingalls of East Holden, Mrs L Beatrice Stymiest of Bangor, and Mrs Rachel D Nichols of Ellsworth; 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at the Jordan Funeral Home at Ellsworth with the Rev Roland Lord of the Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery Ellsworth.

Cassie L. Farrell, 93, passed away March 15, 2005, at her home. She was born Nov. 5, 1912, in Prospect Harbor. Cassie loved her cats. She also enjoyed eating out and going to yard sales. During her life, she spent much time doing benefit and fundraising work for local medical centers. Cassie delighted in recounting her family's history for genealogy.

She is survived by her children; son, James Farrell Jr. and wife, Mary, of Virginia; daughter, Eleanor Littlefield of Porter; son, Ambert Farrell and wife, Sara, of Florida; daughter, Juanita Keene and husband, Royal, of Franklin; son, David Farrell and wife, Evelyn, of Lamoine; son, Don Farrell and wife, Linda, of Lubec; and daughter, Alice Cousins and husband, Rae, of Portland; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; special cousin, Sheldon Bickford of Gouldsboro; and special friends, the McGonigal Family, the Kinney Family, and Owen Taylor.

She was predeceased by her husband, James R. Farrell Sr.; a son, John Farrell; and a daughter, Corrine Farrell. A graveside service will be held at a date to be announced in the spring.
