Griffin, Wayne Robert: It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of a loving husband, father, son, father in law, brother, and friend, Wayne Griffin of Seal Cove, formerly of Ship Harbour, on Monday, January 30th, 2017 at the age of 54. Known for his love of family, outdoors and music. He was predeceased by his father John, as well as his father and mother in-law Pius and Adelia Whittle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Susan, his sons Derek (Felicia) and Devon, his brothers Robert (Sharon), John (Shelley), Jim (Wanda), Larry (Jennifer), Rodney (Doreen), Terry (Lisa), Brian, Shawn (Nicole), his sister Bernice (Joe) Cochrane, his mother Imelda, and a large circle of family and friends including his extended work family at Franks International. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday February 1st, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., and Thursday February 2nd, 2017 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Friday February 3rd , 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ship Harbour.
