Clarksville - Funeral services were held here Friday for Mrs Pearl Tigart Duckett 46 who died Tuesday at her home in Newberry after a long illness.
The rites were at McReynolds Funeral Home with burial in Riverview Cemetery. Mrs Duckett was a native of Montgomery County.
Surviving are her husband Joe Duckett; three sons, Benny, Bobby Edwards, and Coy Lee Duckett, all of Newberry, two daughters Mrs Truman Hale, Piedmont MO, Mrs Martin Duncan, Detroit; one brother Cornelius Tigart, Montgomery county; and a sister, Mrs Walter Seay Detroit.

NEWBERRY, Jan 30 - Mrs Edna Pearl Tigart, 44, died late Tuesday night at the Baptist Hospital in Columbia. She had been ill for the past year.
She was born and reared in Tennessee and was the daughter of the late James and Mary Sheppard Tigart. Mrs Tigart had made her home in Newberry for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clarksville TN.
Surviving are three sons, Bennie Edwards of Carthage TN, Bobby Edwards of Great Falls MT, Coy Lee Duckett of Newberry; two daughters, Mrs Dorothy Haile of Piedmont MO, Mrs Dixie Duncan of Detroit MI, one sister, Mrs Addie Seay of Detroit MI, one hrnther. Cornelius Tigart of Clarksville TN; four grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The body is at the McSwain Funeral Home.

Coy Lee Tigart 59 of Piedmont formerly of Houston TX died Friday Feb 6, 2004 at his home.
Mr Tigart was born July 30 1944 at Newberry SC. He was a retired truck driver with Williams Brothers Construction Company in Houston. He was a Navy veteran serving in Vietnam.
Survivors include one son James Tigart of Sikeston; one brother Bobby Edwards of Baltimore; two sisters, Sue Mobley of St Joseph TN, and Dorothy Hale of Piedmont; and one grandson.
Visitation will be held at 9 am Monday at the Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. The funeral will be at 11 am Monday in the chapel with the Rev Steve Sale and Rev Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Peachtree Cemetery near Piedmont.

Carney Wesley Edwards, age 92 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Signature Healthcare of Erin. He was born April 26, 1925, in Woodlawn, TN, son of the late Herbert J Edwards and Mary Farley Edwards. He served his country during WWII, in the Army for two years.
He worked for many years with Long Construction Company and Mark Young Appraisal Company. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Edwards (Sheryl), Clarksville, TN, daughters, Mary Byard (Tommy), Cumberland Furnace, TN, Betsy Edwards, Dover, TN, JoAnn Dupree Mosley (Greg), Clarksville, TN, and Paula Bradish (Mark), Clarksville, TN, brother, Bobby Edwards, Baltimore, MD, sisters, Dorothy Hale, Piedmont, MO, and Sue Mobley, St. Joseph, TN, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Coppedge Edwards, and brother, Benny Edwards.
Funeral services were held at 2 Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Gateway Funeral Home with Brother Joel Nulty officiating. Burial with military honors was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held Friday, February 9, 2018, from 4 8 and from 11 until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Clarksville, TN.
