Willard Ammon Mosher
Willard A. Mosher of Newton, Massachusetts, passed away February 10, 1960, at the Mt. Auburn Hospital, Wyman House, Cambridge, Massachusetts, after a short illness. Mr. Mosher was born in Brookfield, Queens County, Nova Scotia. Coming to Boston at the age of 18, he has been associated with the automobile business for 47 years, holding executive positions with the Packard Motor Company, The White Company, and for the past 23 years he has been with Lalime and Patridge Company, Boylston Street, Boston as General Manager.
He was a member of the Metropolitan Horse Club, also of the Horse Breeders Association of America. He was especially interested in show horses and had owned and shown many fine horses, winning many coveted blue ribbons.
Mr. Mosher was known from coast to coast as one of the most outstanding automobile men. He was the son of Hannah (Franie) and James Mosher of Brookfield. He leaves his wife Viola (Aker), of South Rawdon, Nova Scotia; two sons, Willard Jr. of Winthrop and James of Newton; also seven sisters, Ildie (Mrs. Martin) of Halifax; Ella (Mrs. Fredericks), of Wilmot, Nova Scotia; Mabel (Mrs. Rodkins), of Ellsworth, Maine; Matilda (Mrs. Ritcey), of Bridgewater; Merna (Mrs. Mason), of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Stella (Mrs. Ettinger), of Melrose, Massachusetts; and Bessie (Mrs. Ettinger), of Worcester; two brothers, Annis of New Germany; Pearl of Brookfield; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was buried in the family lot in Westview Cemetery, Lexington, Massachusetts.
