[S484] HOLT, Don Graves, A Journey to Christmasville, (Name: Holts and Berryhills; Location: Nashville TN; Date: Apr 2005;), "If It Is My Family's Desire to Move to the Western Country....". Plunkett and his brother William, only known children of Richard and Margaret, were minors when Richard died in 1693. Plunkett was bound to James Boughan, a neighbor of the Holts, as an indentured servant. 1698. July 12. Essex County, Plunkett Holt is bound unto James Boughan until he arrives to ye age of one and twenty years. Ye said James Boughan obliging himself to give ye said Holt two years schooling when he comes to ye age of ten or eleven years. Prior to 1725, Plunkett is found in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Apparently he did not attend church as often as he should. The following was found in the Spotsylvania County Order Book: Plunkett Harraway Holt, being presented to the Grand Jury for absenting himself the months of February, March and April from his Parish Church.
