News (Fatality)-JENKINS Cecil (Industrial Accident)
LOCAL MAN KILLED IN ACCIDENT • A New Providence construction worker was killed yesterday afternoon in an accident while clearing land with a bulldozer. The victim was identified as Cecil (Buck) Jenkins, 50, a resident of 113 Circle Hill Drive. According to reports, Jenkins was operating a bulldozer when he uprooted a tree with the vehicle, and tree fell across the dozer and struck Jenkins in the head. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Clarksville Memorial Hospital. The accident occurred about 1:45 p.m. on land fronting York Road, just off Dotsonville Road. He was the father of 12 children.
