George Plantagenet, Duke of Clarence (21 Oct 1449 – 18 Feb 1478) was the 6th son of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York, and Cecily Neville, and the brother of English kings Edward IV and Richard III. He played an important role in the dynastic struggle between rival factions of the Plantagenets now known as the Wars of the Roses. He was convicted of treason against his elder brother, Edward IV
