Julia the Elder (30 Oct 39 BC – AD 14), known to her contemporaries as Julia Caesaris filia or Julia Augusti filia was the daughter and only biological child of Augustus, the first Roman Emperor, and his second wife, Scribonia. Tiberius had a direct hand in her death by imprisoning her until she died either from debility or starvation.
