Thomas Rolfe (30 Jan 1615 – c. 1680) was the only child of Matoaka (Pocahontas) and her English husband, John Rolfe. His maternal grandfather was Chief Wahunsenacawh (or Powhatan), the leader of the Powhatan tribe in Virginia. Thomas Rolfe was born in the English colony of Virginia to John Rolfe and his wife, Matoaka, in January 1615. It is believed he was born at the Rolfe family plantation,
