Harley Elmo "Moe" Barton of Jadwin, Missouri passed away on December 10, 2016 in Salem, Missouri at the age of 85. Moe was born in Greeley, Missouri on June 14, 1931 to the late Earnest Barton and Golda (Givens) Barton.
Moe Barton was united in marriage to Brenda Tesreau on March 1, 1980 and to this union joined six children. Moe served his country in the United States Army. He was owner and operator of the Barton Lodging in Jadwin, Missouri. Moe was a man of many talents, one being dancing, he was the master of "THE JIG". He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry. You never seen him without his pipe. He had a great love for his family and will be missed by all.
Moe is survived by his wife, Brenda Barton of the home; children, Misty Ferguson and husband Ed of Jadwin, Missouri, Harley Barton Jr. of Granite City, Illinois, Sherril Zimmerman and husband Butch of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Timothy Barton of Jadwin, Missouri, Robert Turnbough and wife Heather of Highlandville, Missouri, Greg Turnbough of Cherryville, Missouri; sisters, Gladys Scholfield and husband Len of Salem, Missouri, Lavern Gross of Maryland Heights, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents.
Moe was preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey, Elvie, Sydney, Lenard, Goldman, Manual; sister, Menita.
Funeral services for Harley E. "Moe" Barton will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Brother Doug Givens officiating.
Interment will follow in the Jadwin Cemetery in Jadwin, Missouri with Full Military Honors.
