The Methodist Church in Springfield was the scene Friday July 3 of the marriage of Miss Janice LaVonne Lund of Nashville, daughter of Mrs Harold Manson of Joliet IL and Anton F Lund of Cedar Falls IA and EC Blankenship son of Mrs Lera Blankenship and AB Blankenship. The Rev John Dickson was the officant. Mr and Mrs WE Hill were the only attendants.
Mr Blankenship and his bride left for an extended wedding trip following the ceremony to points of interest in Michigan, Iowa and New Hampshire after which they will make their home at 1105 McKennie Ave.
The bride was graduated from Mid-State Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and is connected with he office of Dr CS McMurray. Mr Blankenship was graduated from East Nashville High School and is manager of H and H Amusement Co.
Attending the marriage were the bride's father, Mr Lund the bridegroom's mother, Mrs Blankenship and Mr and Mrs A R Cartwright and children Nancy and Wayne.

Janice Lavonne Smith, age 86 of Nashville, left the physical world on February 9, 2014 to start her spiritual journey with God.
Janice was born to Anton Lund and Doris Manson in Plainfield, IA. Janice married the love of her life, Edice Ray Smith later in life, and they enjoyed 16 years of bliss. In addition, Janice is survived by two daughters, Karen and Kathy Blankenship; three grandchildren, Kristin Poppe, Evan (Ashley) Stamey and Katy Poppe, and one Nashville niece, Nancy Cartwright. She is also survived by four step-sons, Larry (Diane) Smith, Rand (Beth) Smith, Jeff (Ann) Smith and Marty (Pam) Smith, and thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren (Olivia & William Smith Olsen and Raleigh Fisher), whom she adored.
A special thanks you to Gentiva Hospice, especially Mary Boyd and the Belmont Village staff for the love and care they provided. A celebration of life will be held at Memorial Lutheran Church on February 22, 2014
