WRIGHT, Charles Charles Rex Wright, of Marietta, Georgia died on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Tranquility Hospice after a long fight with Alzheimer's. He was born in Trigg County, Kentucky, October 27, 1930, to Clifton Elliott and Jane Thomas Wright. Charles was an excellent student and lifelong learner; he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1952 from the University of Kentucky. Upon Graduation, Charles was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Charles worked in the office products industry, retiring from both AB Dick and Boise Cascade and was an avid farmer throughout his life. Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley; his son Mark E. Wright and wife Susan of Marietta, GA; daughter Sharon W. Ard and husband Robert of Lilburn, GA; son Michael A. Wright and wife Jennifer of Mercer Island, WA; and son Mitchell B. Wright and wife Melanie of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Elliott Wright, Jon Wright, Ryan Ard, Jeremy Ard, Jessica Ard, Tracy Wright, Megan Wright, Mallory Wright and Morgan Wright. The family will be receiving visitors from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Friday January 4, 2013 at Carmichael Funeral Home located at 1130 Whitlock Ave, Marietta, GA 30064 (770) 424-4924. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church located at 76 Seaboard Street, Hiram, GA 30141.
