She grew up in New Hampton and graduated from the New Hampton High School in 1959. On July 4, 1959, Joyce was united in marriage to James Floyd German. They had two sons, James Edward and Joseph Jay. In 1961, they moved to Waverly and Joyce worked for NAPA Auto Parts. James passed away in 1978. In May 1983, Joyce was united in marriage to Donald Stacy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.
