"PFC US Army Vietnam" Jack "Jackie" Meadors, Jr., 78, of Alma, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born July 31, 1944 in Fort Smith to the late Jack and Betty Jane (Bolling) Meadors, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army, and was the co-owner/operator of Meadors Lumber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Meadors, Sr., and Richard "Ricky" Meadors. He is survived by two daughters, Misty Jackson and husband Lee of Mulberry, and Tiffani Meadors of Dora; a son, Eric Wayne Bell of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Diane Hunter and husband Wayne of Ruston, La., Jeanann Harr and husband Harry of Summerville, S.C., and Cindy Roberts and husband Rick Sr. of Mulberry; three grandchildren, Austin Jackson and Kaitlyn Jackson of Mulberry, and Hayden Winfrey of Fort Hood, Texas; and ten nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 22, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
