Monday by train for Chicago to claim the body of Mrs. Wilma Libby Armbruster, 27 who killed herself there, Sunday, during a quarrel with her second husband.
Details of the tragedy, related in press dispatches from Chicago, indicate that Mrs. Armbruster became hysterical while quarreling with her husband. Chicago police said Armbruster, 42, a salesman, said he "dared" his wife to commit suicide, believing she was bluffing. Armbruster said he quarreled with her over another man in a downtown tavern, then returned to their hotel apartment. When she came in they resumed the quarrel. He slapped her several times, left returning some time later. After again quarreling the husband said, Mrs. Armbruster threatened to kill herself. She took a revolver from a dresser but said she didn't know how to use it.
Armbruster said he then took the revolver, shot into floor, showed her how to operate it, then handed it back. "That's the way to work it" Armbruster said he told her. "Now go ahead, I dare you." She then shot herself, dying without regaining consciousness. Police will hold Armbruster until after the inquest.
Mrs. Armbruster was at the Mohler home 3 miles east of Robinson on NO. 36 highway for a time last winter. Her 7-year old daughter by her first husband has also been there, although she also has been at Marysville with her father's parents.
Libby, first husband of Mrs. Armbruster, who is a court reporter in Chicago, told police Wilma had threatened to kill herself while she was his wife.
Mrs. Armbruster before her marriage was Wilma McClellan, being a daughter of Mrs. Gard Mohler, of near Robinson, by a former marriage.
Armbruster Funeral, Arthur Benfer, undertaker left Monday by train for Chicago to claim the body of Mrs. Wilma Armbruster, who killed herself there Sunday after a quarrel with her husband. He arrived home Wednesday morning with the body. The funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock, burial in the Rose Hill cemetery at Robinson.

Making good her husband's dare to commit suicide, Mrs. Wilma Libby Armbiuster, 27, bride of two months and former Marysville resident, shot and killed herself Sunday in Chicago, her second husband, Oliver, 42, told police. A police captain quoted Armbruster as saying he believed his wife, the former Mrs. Harry Libby, jr., was "bluffing" when she threatened to end her life following an all-night quarrel, according to an Associated Prtss dis-dispatch received by the News. The second husband, a salesman, said his wife fired a shot into her right temple after he had shown her how to use a revolver. He was held for investigation and released after he had twice been questioned under a "lie detector." Libby, federal court reporter, and former Union Pacific office employe here, who was divorced from Mrs. Armbruster last November, told police his former wife had severU times threatened to commit suicide while intoxicated. Has A Small Daughter Mrs. Armbruster is the mother of a seven-year-old daughter by her first marriage. The child, who until recently was living with its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hariy Libby, sr., 406 Calhoun street, is visiting with her grandmother, Mrs. G. Mohler of Robinson. Mrs. Armbruster was born in Robinson, and was living there at the time of her marriage to Libby. Mrs. Armbruster left a note with the apartment hotel clerk addressed to her former husband. It concerned their daughter. It set forth: "To Libby from Wilma: Leave Lindell Mae where she is-and see that she is taken care of." Finding his wife drinking in a tavern with another man, Armbruster told police a quarrel with her followed. After rebuking her, the two went to their apartment where the quarrel was resumed. , Armbruster said he slapped his wife several times, left the apartment, and returned about 4 a. m. - Mrs. Armbruster threatened to kill herself as the quarreling was resumed. The salesman said she took a revolver from a'dresser, and cried hysterically: "I don't know how to use it." Shows Her How To Shoot ' Taking the weapon from her, Armbruster, said he released the safety catch and,. fired into the floor. . "That's how to work it," he said he told her, "now go ahead. I dare you." Armbruster said he dropped the weapon on a couch, and turned hia back, believing his wife was bluffing. An explosion followed, and turning, he saw his wife drop to the floor. She was unconscious to the end. -. A marriage license was Issued to Harry Libby jr., here March 3, 1928. The couple was married by Rev. Walter C. Green, Robinson Methodist pastor.
