  [S10407] Find a Grave - US Index, BLACK George L 1922-1999. George Lurton Black, 77, Cunningham, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. today at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Bateman officiating. Burial will be in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be today at 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. He was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Montgomery County, son of Sidney F. and Willie Underwood Black. Mr. Black was retired from swimming pool maintenance, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, served in World War II, and was a member and former deacon of Gum Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn Haman, Las Vegas, Betsy Seibel, Newark, Calif., and Marilyn Jacobs, Murfreesboro; three sisters, Geneva Shelton and Lorene Black, both of Palm Springs, Calif., and Lucy Marie Manly, Dayton, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
