She was born on March 5, 1934, in Evansville. Georgia graduated from Reitz High School in 1951. Georgia was retired from Bristol Myers after 39 years as a Pharmaceutical Product Coordinator. She also held a diploma in accounting from the International Accounting Society. Georgia was an accomplished Ballroom dancer and taught at the Arthur Murray studios, Fred Astaire studios and numerous other Evansville locations for many years. Georgia was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Petroleum Club and the Kennel Club. She was a member of the Coterie Dance Club for 37 years. Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Turner; and parents, Alfred and Edna Niehaus. She is survived by a son, Marc Finney, of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Pamela Finney Dixon and husband, Vernon; grandson, Aaron Acevedo; two granddaughters, Brianna Acevedo and Audri Chisum; great-grandchildren, Alisha, Katelynn, Arison, and Avery, all of Dalhart, Texas; brother, Ronald Niehaus and wife, Cheryl; nephews, David and John Niehaus; and niece, Amy Niehaus, all of Tampa, Fla.; and aunt, Margaret Quirey, of Evansville.
