Josephine Johnson Huddleston, 77, of St. Charles, died at 1:53 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at her residence. She was born July 28, 1928, in Hopkins County, Ky., to Dolly and Albert P. Johnson. She was a homemaker and attended Lake Grove General Baptist Church in St. Charles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ardell Huddleston; one daughter, Carlotte Huddleston; and two brothers, James P. Johnson and Albert L. Johnson.
She is survived by seven sons, Donald DJ. Johnson, William Michael Huddleston and Leo Huddleston, all of St. Charles, Larry Huddleston of Charlestown, Ind, Denny Ray Huddleston of LaPorte, Ind., Charles Huddleston and George Dale Huddleston, both of Madisonville, Ky.; three daughters, Linda Kay Huddleston Brunson of Georgetown, Texas, and Violet Huddleston Ipock and Carolyn Huddleston, both of St. Charles; 31 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville, Ky., with Bro. Audie Brandon officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in St. Charles. Pallbearers will be her sons. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Ardell Huddleston, Union Temple section, near Dawson Springs, was jailed in bond default by Deputy Sheriff Willie Beshear Wednesday night following arrest on a bench warrant charging wife desertion, and on a county court warrant issued for child desertion. Hearing date is to be set on the latter warrant. Trial date on the bench warrant will be set for the February circuit court term.

Carlotta Marie Huddleston, four-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Ardell Huddleston, Dawson at 9:30 am today while receiving treatment in the office of Dr E F Cole.
Dr J E Johnston, Nortonville, who had been treating the girl, and Dr C R Morton, county health officer, were quoted as saying today that the child, who had been ill nine days, died from typhus fever.
Dr! Cole said that he administered treatment to the child Saturday night and that the girl was in a dying condition when brought to his office this morning. This was the Huddleston's only child.
A private funeral will be conducted in Nortonville and burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, near Nortonville. The body is at the Barrett Funeral Home.
