Gwen is survived by her husband, Karl Helms; two children, Cindy Helms and Karen Beck and husband Doug; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Sarah Beck all of Desloge; four sisters, Hazel (Mrs. Ivan) Wood of Decatur, Illinois, Phyllis Harris of Seneca, Missouri, Sherlyn Ann (Mrs. Toby) Tyler of Carterville, Missouri, and Sheryl Lynn (Mrs. Mark) Grooms of Joplin, Missouri. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the C.Z.
