Bessie Myrle Sanderson Cobb Wright was born on March 13, 1904 in Stewart County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of James "Elliott" Sanderson (1878–1944) and his wife Willie Juanita (Bryant) Sanderson (1881–1963). She was married 1st to Basil Coy Cobb (1899–1963), son of Pinkney Leander Cobb (1854–1931) and Vivia Ann (Tanner) Cobb (1856–1903). Bessie was married 2nd to William Harold Wright (1909–1987), the son of James E and Charity Jane (Wisdom) Wright. A member of Red River Baptist Church in Adams and living in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Bessie was 99 years old when she passed away on May 15, 2003 at Imperial Manor in Nashville. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, her son J C Cobb and by daughter Edna "Merle" (Cobb) Qualls (1931–1988), while survivors included three daughters, a brother, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and a 2nd-great grandchild.
