Born October 22, 1915 in Greensboro, NC. Died June 10, 2008 in Nashville. He served in France, Belgium and Germany in WWII, and was part of the June 6th D-Day landing on Normandy Beach. While serving, he made movies of the war, which are now in the Smithsonian Institute. He received the bronze star and commendations from the French Government for his services to help liberate France from Nazi occupation. Everyone who knew Billy would quickly state, "There is nothing that he couldn’t do." He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice. Services will beheld 2p.m. Saturday, a tWoodland Presbyterian Church, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Entombment to follow service at Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum.
