Mrs Edith F Lunt, 65, died Monday morning at an Ellsworth hospital after a long illness. She was born at Swans Island, December 21 1897, daughter of Winslow and Mary (Joyce) Stanley. Surviving are a daughter Mrs Beverly Johnson of Minturn; a son Leland Lunt of South Portland; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Myrtle Joyce of Atlantic and Mrs Violet Marston of West Falmouth; a brother, Danforth Stanley of Portland.
Funeral services will be held the Frenchboro Church Wednesday at 1 pm the Rev Linwood Louden officiating. Burial will be at Frenchboro

He was born at Frenchboro, Sept 1, 1885, son of Sanford and Edna (Rich) Lunt.
He was a rettired fisherman.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Edith (Stanley) Lunt; a son, Leland of South Portland; a daughter, Mrs Beverly Johnson of Minturn; five sisters, Mrs Annie Watson and Mrs Nellie Smith of Rockland, Mrs Lida Higglna of Swan’s Island, and Mrs Eva Lunt and Mrs Elian Lunt of Frenchboro; five brothers, Leonard, Irving, Guy, Benjamin, and Gardner, all of Frenchboro; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Frenchboro Congregational church. Interment will be In Village cemetery Frenchboro.

Survivors are his wife Mrs Myrtle (Stinson) Stanley; four sons, Russell of Sussex Wisc, and Charles, Lawrence, and John of Rockland; five daughters, Mrs Norma Sprague of Ingraham’s Hill, Mrs Patricia Pease of North Appleton, and the Misses Shirley, Etheylen, and Phyllis Stanley of Rockland; three brothers, Halsey and Danford of Portland, and Sands of Alberta Canada; three sisters, Mrs Llian Joyce of Swan’s Island, Mrs Violet Marston of Portland and Mrs Edith Lunt of South Portland; and several nieces and nephews and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Russell Funeral Home here with the Rev Charles R Monteith of the Congregational Church officiating.
Interment will be at Wileys Corner Cemetery St George.
