Roy Richard Creason, 63, familiarly known as Dick, died at 10:40 0'clock Monday night at the home of his sister, Mrs Dora McElwee, 2121 North Market street, after being in ill health for more than a year. He was born September 1, 1880 in western Howard County, the son of Melbern and Lucinda Creason, and all of his life had been spent in Kokomo and Howard County. His parents dying when he was a boy, he had made his home with his sister the greater part of his life. He was a pottery worker for 30 years, having worked at both local factories, retiring in December 1942 because of ill health. Surviving with the sister mentioned are a daughter, Zola living in Baltimore, Md., a son, Everett of Muncie, and an uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs Daly Creason of Clay township. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of with the Rev Herbert H Nicholson in charge. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
