She was born Sept. 17, 1909, in Montgomery County, daughter of Herbert Eugene Allen and Lena Steppee Allen. She was the widow of Lurton E. Smith. Mrs. Smith Was a homemaker and a member of Broadway Baptist Church, Knoxville. Survivors include one daughter, Sammye Smith Seivers, lndianapolis; one brother, John Allen, Shiloh; two sisters, Althea Schmidt, Coopertown, and Clara Herndon, Cumberland Furnace. Pallbearers will be John Bailey, Gary Schmidt, Frank McDonald, James Seivers, Arlon Henidon Jr. and Bob Speck.
