Lyle Gene Schultz passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 63. He was born in Osborne, Kansas, at Osborne Memorial Hospital to Richard and Nola (Brown) Schultz. He grew up on the family farm, attended Lucas Grade School, and graduated from Lucas-Luray High School in 1979.
Lyle attended the Salina Area Vocational Technical School and earned his degree in Diesel Mechanics. On weekends, he would come home and help his Dad with farm work. Lyle enjoyed hauling cattle over the road and taking care of the cattle on the farm when he was no longer driving a semi. He loved collecting and shooting guns and hunting deer, elk, and pheasants. Lyle was preceded in death by his Dad, Richard, in 2025, his sister Annette in 2022, and his brother, Larry, in 2019. He is survived by his mother, Nola of Lucas, sons Skyler and Ryan of Hays, Kansas, brother-in-law Jerry Lantz of Salina, Kansas, cousins Victoria (Zac Zundt) and Joanie (Brayden) Galliard, both of Garden City, Kansas, nieces Zyra and nephew Zadyn Zundt of Garden City, Kansas.
