William Holis Heflin, 66, retired carpenter of Fort Campbell's Post Engineers, died at 5 pm Monday. The resident of Cumberland Heights was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, at Sunnyview Baptist Church by the Rev L P Sego, with Murphy and Gupton in charge of arrangements. The body will remain at the residence until time for the funeral. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Mr Heflln was a resident of Montgomery County for 23 years and a son of the late George and Julie Johnson Heflin. He was born in Indian Mound October 23, 1893. He was a member of the Sunnyview Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs Eunice Robertson Heflin, to whom he was married on Decem ber 24, 1919 at Big Rock; two sons, Elmo and Douglas Heflin, Clarksville; a sister, Mrs Wesley Bryant, Clarksville and three brothers, Ewing Heflin, Terre Haute IN, Charlie Heflin, Oakwood Community, and Clayton Heflin, Clarksville.
