Benjamin David Twomey, passed away June 26, 2017. Beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Born in St. Louis, MO, on December 26, 1927, to the late John J. Twomey and Crystal Twomey (Montgomery). Ben was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie of 63 years, on September 9, 2016.
Survived by son, Stephen W. Twomey (Colleen) of Park Hills; daughter, Nancy R. Norris of Alliance, NE, and Patricia A. Wallace (Mike) of Fredericktown, MO; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many, many friends and family member who loved him dearly. Ray and Darlene Wecker, 2 close friends who went dancing and on trips together will miss him greatly.
Ben was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 20, 1944. He loved to share his faith with others. His faithfulness was a great encouragement and example to many family members and friends. Ben loved fishing, horse shoes, and BBQ. Ben was known by many in the community as the Owner of Twomey Heating & Cooling, serving the community for many years beginning in the early 1950’s.
A memorial service will be held on July 8, 2017, at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness at 6290 Spencer Rd, Desloge, MO 63601. Coplin funeral home in charge of services.
