He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Saint Cloud. He served in the U.S. Navy as a GM2 during the Korean War. Porter is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dolores T (Oliphant) Brendle; daughters, Gail Goldsmith of Kissimmee, FL; Susan Munsch of Kissimmee; and Lynne Dailey of Valrico; sons James Brendle of Kansas City, MO; and Thomas Brendle of Gillette, NJ. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a sister, LuluBell Merritt of Jacksonville, FL. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 5th, at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Saint Cloud, FL, with Fa. Leonell Pacheco officiating.
