Funeral services will be held for James Burney Mlckie, 79, at the McReynolds Chapel Thursday afternoon. Burial will be In Bethlehem cemetery. William G Skea will officiate. Pall bearers will be the nephews.
Mr Mickle was a native of Montgomery county and lived most of his life here. At the time of his death he was residing at Nashville TN. He was the son of the late William Mickle and the late Indiana Parish Mickle.
Survivors include his widow, Roxy Albright Mickle; five sons, Ewing Mickle of Fredonia, Gilmer of Clarksville, Rollow, Lowell, and MC Mickle all of Nashville; two daughters, Miss Roxy Irene Mickle of Nashville, Mrs Ray Carrigan, Nashville; one sister, Mrs Mary Logan, Clarksville; and seventeen grandchildren.
Mr Mickle was a member of the McAdoo Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Services for Mrs Roxie Eula Mickle, 81, will be held at McReynolds Funeral Home by the Rev William Corley. Burial will be Bethlehem Cemetery. Mrs Mickle died Thursday in Nashville Baptist Hospital after a one-week illness.
She was born in Montgomery County Dec 22, 1887, a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Mary Smith Albright. She had lived most of her life in Montgomery County.
Her husband, JB Mickle, whom she married in December 1907, preceeded her in death.
Survivors include five sons, Euing Mickle and Gilmer Mickle, both of Clarksville; MC Mickle, Ashland City; Rollow Mickle, Donelson, and Lowell Mickle, Nashville; two daughters, Mrs Enolis Carrigan and Miss Irene Mickle, both of Donelson; brother, Raymond Albright, Hickory Point; three sisters, Mrs Ethel Adkins, Adams; Mrs Ann Croland, Sango, and Mrs Billy McGhee, White House; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The boyd will be McReynolda until time of services.

Lowell E Mickle Sr retired from his Metro Police Academy maintenance job two years ago to do what the 70-year-old grandfather of 12 loved best - run a bar. This weekend, Mickle was shot four times and died inside The Fork's, the bar he operated where Tucker Road and Buena Vista Pike split in Bordeaux. Police say he lived long enough to tell them what happened.
"Pretty much all he ever wanted to do was run a bar," said Amanda Bandy, one of Mickle's daughters. "If they called and said Daddy had a heart attack, I'd have believed it but not this." Police detective Mike Roland said Mickle was shot shortly after 11 pm Friday. Empty bullet casings from two weapons of different calibers were found on the floor, Roland said. Mickle was still alive when his son, Lowell Mickle Jr, telephoned the bar shortly after 11 pm, Roland said.
"The victim did answer. He was out of breath and mumbling," Roland said. "The son did understand him to say he'd been shot" The son called police, who arrived in time to learn some details of the shooting from Mickle before he became unconscious. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died, Roland said. Mickle said he was shot by three assailants, Roland said.
Because no cash appeared to have been stolen, police are looking at other possible motives, including revenge. Bandy says family members don't know who would want revenge against their father, or why.
The Fork's attracted a crwod of regulars that were mostly older people, not "bikers or young troublemakers," she said, "It was mostly people his age, and it was pretty quiet. If anyone did cause trouble, Daddy sent them on down the road." For 13 years, Mickle had been a maintenance worker at Metro Police Academy, a stone's throw down Tucker Road. Mickle and his wife once ran a bar called Sandy's Place in a small white building that once stood where The Fork's is today, Bandy said. When Sandra Mickle died of cancer, Mickle quit the bar business and went to work for the academy. He retired two years ago and opened The Fork's, next door to his house.
"The Fork's was it. That's all he had," Bandy said. "Most of thetime he sat at the end of the bar and watched TV. He was probably sitting at the end of the bar watching TV when they came in."
