Stephen Wayne Pierson, age 73, of Oklahoma Lane, Texas, passed away February 22nd, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 8th 1950 in Lubbock, Texas to Dee Wayne and Alma Lee Dudley Pierson. He moved from Providence, Texas to Bovina, Texas in 1962 and graduated from Bovina High School in 1969. Steve was in the Army Reserves and farmed. What he really enjoyed was selling farm equipment. He was on the Farwell School Board through the 80's and was also a Sunday school teacher at Oklahoma Lane Community Church. He treasured his relationship with God and was always texting his kids a bible verse or thought. He was a renowned prairie dog hunter and loved sharing that passion with his grandkids and friends. Steve was known to kids all around as the man who drew ducks on their hands and had Dum-Dum suckers to give out. When someone asked Steve how he was doing, he always said, "Couldn't Be Better!" with a smile on his face. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Dee and Alma Pierson, his daughter D'Ann Pierson, and his daughter-in-law Jo Pierson.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie; his son Wayne and Leslie Pierson of Nazareth/Lubbock, four grandchildren, Megan and Tobin Pierson, and Olivia, and Maggie Reves, sister Sharon and Max Eubanks of Brookston, Texas, sister Jo and Gary Eubanks of DeKalb, Texas and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
