  _Malcolm II of Scotland Máel Coluim mac Cináeda (c. 954 – 25 Nov 1034)[3] was King of Alba (Scotland) from 1005 until his death. He was a son of King Kenneth II; but the name of his mother is uncertain. The Prophecy of Berchán says that his mother was a woman of Leinster and refers to him as Forranach, "the Destroyer".
